Get ready to celebrate the Lunar New Year in style on Argyle Street in 2025, as Uptown United teams up with local businesses and all those non-profit and cultural folks we know and love. This event has been going on longer than some of us can remember; we're talking a solid 40 years of parade-waving and drum-banging. This time, we're rolling out the red carpet for the Year of the Snake, and you won't want to miss the Lunar New Year Parade. It kicks off at 1:00 pm sharp at Argyle and Sheridan, featuring more than 20 local community groups and a fantastic lineup of dancers and performers who are probably way more coordinated than the rest of us.

But wait, there's more. Before the parade turns into a snake-athon, local organisations are throwing pop-ups filled with family-friendly activities between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. So bring your little ones and your camera, because there will be plenty of photo ops and probably a few surprises. Details are still under wraps, but trust us, you'll want to keep an eye on this event. Grab your friends, family, and maybe even your neighbor's dog, and head on over to join the festivities.
