Proclaimed by American Craft magazine as “The Button Man, Beau McCall is well known for creating wearable and visual art by applying clothing buttons onto mostly upcycled fabrics, materials, and objects.

Lovers and fans of art and craft can now enjoy his genius at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago from now through April 30, 2025.

Curated by acclaimed creative, curator, impresario and consultant, Peter “Souleo” Wright, this exhibition features three rotating cases. Each case features select pieces from McCall's wearable art portfolio alongside jars of buttons.

The wearable art includes button-embellished vests, jackets, yokes, aprons, jewelry, a headdress, and a cape. Through McCall's artistic vision, these works address themes of beauty, nature, and Black pride.
