Get ready to roll out of bed a bit earlier than usual for at the zoo. Think of it as a VIP pass to animal antics from 8 to 10 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month, from March to October. Just make sure to set a reminder, because tickets are going to be hotter than a cat at a dog show when they open up 60 days before each session. Oh, and fair warning: we'll be skipping June entirely—turns out, the zoo has other plans for the Super Zoo Picnic on June 20. Who knew the animals threw parties too?

So grab your coffee, throw on your most comfortable shoes, and prepare to have some quality time with our furry, feathered, and finned friends before the crowds descend. It's a great chance to enjoy the zoo without the usual rush, so you can marvel at the lions, giggle at the monkeys, or just psych yourself up for that one part of the aviary that always manages to freak you out a little.
