For those who thought the outdoor movie season had packed up its picnic blanket and headed home, good news: Movies on the Midway is apparently not quite done with us yet. Expect the usual easygoing vibe, where popular films grace the big screen under the Chicago sky. It's a pretty good excuse to round up the family, or just a few pals who appreciate a bit of fresh air with their cinematic escape, even if it feels like we're on borrowed time before fall fully kicks in. Think of it as a bonus round for your outdoor entertainment score card.

You'll want to pack your favorite lawn chairs – bonus points for the ones that don't immediately try to fold themselves up when you sit down – and maybe a cozy blanket, just in case. Snacks are, of course, highly encouraged, perhaps even mandatory for maximum enjoyment. Just roll up, find a patch of grass that looks promising, and settle in for a relaxed evening under the stars, or at least under the big city lights.
